Meet Some of the New Skaters Gracing THPS 3 + 4
What a time to be alive. THPS 3 + 4 has officially ollied into our hearts. It’s an excellent blend of modern technology and nostalgic bliss. I’ve had a ton of fun rediscovering the skaters I spent hours of my childhood with, from the likes of Rodney Mullen and Kareem Campbell to Bam Margera and the f*ckin Muska.
But, as if I were a kid again, I’ve found immense joy in checking out the new skaters added to THPS 3 + 4’s roster. There’s a bunch of them to get your hands on, but here’s a handful of who I’ve found to be the best of the best.

Aurélien Giraud
Born in Lyon, France, Aurélien Giraud is a two-time winner of the World Championship of Skateboarding. Giraud combines a goofy-footed stance with an impeccable, aggressive form of street skating that’s left fans of the sport in awe for nearly a decade. His Hardflip Late Pressure Flip is a blast to pull off, especially during a long combo. If you’re looking for a THPS newcomer and don’t know where to start, Aurélien Giraud is always a solid pick.

Yuto Horigome
At the mere age of 14, Yuto Horigome had already begun touring the United States, looking to make a name for himself. Fast forward to today, and he’s a two-time Olympic gold medalist, having taken first place for street skating in both the 2020 and 2024 Summer Games. An incredibly gifted skater with not an ounce of fear in his body, Horigome has become known for his penchant for long rails and wide gaps that would make most skaters weak in the knees. When in doubt, pick Yuto Horigome. You won’t regret it.

Zion Wright
Zion Wright first stepped onto a skateboard when he was four years old. One of the inaugural members of the U.S.A. Skateboarding National Team, Wright has secured a multitude of sponsorships, including Vans, Red Bull, Thunder, Spitefire, Bones Bearings, and Hot Wheels, among others. He combines style with substance in his skating, and his “Real Chill” special move embodies the carefree nature that Wright injects into his craft.

Jamie Foy
2017 and 2024’s Skater of the Year, Jamie Foy, is one of the absolute best in the world. Foy took home the gold medal at the 2021 Summer X Games festival for best street trick and hasn’t looked back since. A native of Deerfield Beach, Florida, Jamie Foy has redefined what it means to be a street skater, and after playing a few rounds with him in THPS 3 + 4, be sure to check out any of the skating videos he’s featured in. It’s a sight to behold.
“Every day I’m thinking of something new to try or something that hasn’t been done before,” says Foy. “That’s what gets me excited to go skate. There are no rules. It’s just me and my board, having fun.”

Doom Slayer
It wouldn’t be a Tony Hawk game without a healthy dose of the weird and wacky. THPS 3 + 4 is no different. Making his roster debut, the Doom Slayer trades in his super shotty for a skateboard, creating a match made in heaven that no one could predict. Doom Slayer brings the pain, with his “Rip and Tear” special move showcasing his chainsaw in all its glory. Once you take to the skies, hit the crowd with Doom Slayer’s “Meathook” move to bring jaws to the floor. THPS 3 + 4 is at its best when leaning into its comical side, and the Doom Slayer proves it.

Thank you for keeping it locked on COGconnected.
