Feel the Horror in Anoxia Station
Abylight Studios, in collaboration with solo developer Yakov Butuzov and artist Daria Vodyanaya, the minds behind Loretta and Dom Rusalok, return with Anoxia Station, a strategy horror game set in a decaying underground mine in dystopian 1988. It is now available on PC via Steam. Check out the official launch trailer right below.
Inspired by films like Alien, Dune, and The Lighthouse, along with the haunting atmosphere of Gloomy River, Anoxia Station challenges players to survive heat, radiation, crushing pressure, and the creeping absence of oxygen. It offers a harrowing descent into isolation, decay, and psychological strain.
Players must navigate a complex web of resource management and crisis response. Mechanical failures, failing oxygen systems, and fraying crew morale all pose daily threats. Every choice matters. Neglect one aspect, and the entire station could fall into darkness. The game’s immersive horror is amplified by visuals inspired by the art of HR Giger, flickering lights, and ambient dread. From hidden messages to eerie clues scattered across the station, players will uncover a deeper mystery filled with betrayal, paranoia, and unsettling truths.
Key features include:
– A retro-futuristic 1988 setting with immersive atmosphere
– Resource balancing, crew management, and system repairs
– Claustrophobic, sound-driven horror environments
– Unfolding narrative through environmental storytelling
– Tactical decisions with lasting consequences
Trust is fragile. Choices are final. Sacrifices are inevitable. Anoxia Station is available now on Steam, published by Abylight Studios. You can purchase the game for just $13.49 at a 10% discount until 23rd May.
