Astroneer Is Expanding Its Universe
System Era Softworks and Devolver Digital have announced the release date for the Glitchwalkers DLC for Astroneer. This first-ever paid expansion for the game will be coming out on 13 November 2024. It will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PlayStation. The Nintendo Switch version will land sometime in the future.
Glitchwalkers takes the fun of survival sandbox and pushes it further. Explore the biggest planet yet, filled with new biomes, cool tech, exciting gameplay, and even a real villain. Meet Lyn, a frustrated crew member from the ESS Elysium who has been messing with the Astroneer Training Program’s code. Team up with Frank, the Elysium’s Head of Maintenance, and stop Lyn before she tears the ATP apart.
Players will be transported to Aeoluz, a vast planet in a chaotic solar system. Your mission is to hack through Lyn’s defenses, bust firewalls, and bring the ATP system back to normal. Explore cool new surfaces and cave biomes, and dive into a fresh tech tree packed with a mix of new and classic gadgets to unlock.
Glitchwalkers takes Astroneer’s universe to new heights while keeping all the crafting, building, and exploring fans enjoy. Not ready for the new adventure? No worries! A free update to the base game will bring fresh gameplay, handy improvements, and bug fixes.
