At first, DICEOMANCER might look like a typical deck-building roguelike, where you move through nodes, fight enemies, face events, and upgrade your cards. You need to manage your mana wisely to play cards and block enemy attacks. But if it were just another card game, it would be called “CARDOMANCER.” DICEOMANCER, however, is something more.
What makes this game unique is its special dice mechanic that lets players change in-game numbers. For example, a card that deals “1 damage” can be upgraded to “6 damage” with a roll of a six-sided die. Drawing “1 card” can turn into drawing “6 cards,” and gaining “1 strength” might become gaining “6 strength.” These dice rolls unlock endless strategies to boost the power of your deck.
Furthermore, the dice are not just for show as they impact almost every number in the game. Got an enemy with 30 health? Roll a die and change that. Only 1 coin left? A ten-sided die might boost your wealth. Running low on energy with just 4 points? A roll could increase your energy limit. But beware as the power comes with risk.
