Magical Delicacy Will Start Cooking on Switch Next Week

Welcome to Magical Delicacy

Developer Skaule and publisher Whitethorn Games have announced that the Metroidvania-lite cooking sim, Magical Delicacy is coming to Nintendo Switch on 15 August 2024. So, prepare to experience a wholesome adventure in an enchanting world of delicious food.

Magical Delicacy

Magical Delicacy is a beautiful 2D action platformer with cooking elements. You will play as Flora, a young witch whose goal is to grow her magical skills and become a full-fledged witch. With this in mind, she travels to the adventurer’s town of Grat to fulfill her dream.

When she arrives, she sets up her little shop to whip up tasty meals and magical potions for everyone in town—cheerful locals, curious visitors, old legends, and skilled experts. As she explores the cozy harbor town, she’ll uncover their stories and realize that there’s a lot more to Grat than it seems.

In the town of Grat, you can gather new recipes and ingredients through various activities such as trading, questing, growing vegetables in your garden, and exploring. The game features an extensive cooking system that lets you be creatively flexible and fulfill even the most unusual orders. Build your dream kitchen by commissioning new equipment to make even more delectable dishes.

Immerse yourself in a heartwarming linear story full of witchy wonder and intrigue, with plenty of optional encounters and free play opportunities. Additionally, traverse a 2D platformer inspired by Metroidvanias, where you’ll gain new abilities, access new areas, and unlock shortcuts.

The game is already available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam for $24.99, and free for Xbox Game Pass Holders.
