You Get a Pet! And You Get a Pet!
The longer you look at Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, the deeper it seems. Of course, being made by Gearbox and having direct character tie-ins from Borderlands, comparisons are going to be made. The way that classes work will stand out from the Borderlands series.
Traditionally, each Borderlands game launches with four classes. Each class is restricted to a specific character; Roland is the Soldier in Borderlands 1 and Zer0 is the Assassin in Borderlands 2. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is launching with at least six classes, which are not tied to specific characters.
Previous gameplay trailers have highlighted four other classes; the Brr-Zerker, Stabbomancer, Spellshot, and Clawbringer. Today, we got a look at two more classes. Introducing the Graveborn and Spore Warden. It seems there will be a ton of ways to shoot holes into enemies and strike them down with magic.
The Graveborn is a dark knight-type class. They specialize in attacks that require sacrifice. Graveborn abilities often inflict damage onto themselves for damage against enemies. Spore Wardens are ranged specialists. They can use magic, such as conjuring cyclones, as well as bow and arrow abilities.
Both the Graveborn and Spore Warden have AI-controlled companions. The Demi Lich belongs to the Graveborn and the Spore Warden has a dancing mushroom. We also learn that players can multi-class in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. This is the first time we have heard about using abilities from multiple class skill trees.
With all the options for building your character, you have a lot to consider. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will be coming out on March 25th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
