New Trailer Showcases Combat in Expeditions: Rome
Expeditions: Rome is an upcoming computer role playing game where players will fight in the name of the ancient empire. With a host of ancient weapons and soldiers at your disposal, Rome’s fate rests in your hands.
In Expeditions: Rome, you control Legio Victrix, a legion fighting against Rome’s enemies. Players will take on the role of a young Legatus whose father has been murdered by an unknown political opponent. In fear for their own life, they flee Rome and hide in the military campaign. Players will be able to fully customize their Legatus to suit their playstyle and level them up how they desire.
Initially tasked with subduing a Greek rebellion, players will slowly increase their miliatary prowess. Then players will rise up the ranks to become a powerful military commander. Expeditions: Rome will take players across the wide breadth of the ancient empire. From the Greek coast to the forests of Gaul and the Roman Senate, there are many venues to which players will have to adapt.
In addition, players will also adventure with five companions, each with their own unique backstory and personality. Each decision made will have consequences for yourself, your companions and ultimately for Rome itself.
Check out the new combat trailer below as Centurio Caeso Aquilinius walks you through the game’s combat system.
As you can see in the trailer, the game features turn-based combat, powered by an extensive skill-based action system. So, as you control your army and level up your own character’s loadout, how you deploy your legion will require a lot of strategy.
