The Biggest Trophy Was the Friends Made Along the Way
Hunting down difficult trophies or achievements is one of the most fun and satisfying things someone can do on the current generation of consoles. The idea of having in-game achievements began to rise in popularity on the Xbox 360 and PS3 but has thankfully stuck around. The difficulty of these trophies is measured by color grade. For instance, bronze trophies are the easiest or most common, whereas platinum trophies are the most difficult or rare. It is these platinum trophies that are so sought after in the PlayStation community. That is why it is so impressive that only a few days ago a PS4 player was able to get ahold of 50 platinum trophies in only 20 hours.
YouTuber PS4Trophies completed this daring task on a live stream on the 15th of December. Unfortunately, the recording can no longer be viewed. But it was still well documented and there doesn’t appear to be any shenanigans going on. It’s all legit.

The games that were played in order to complete this challenge were not exactly the most well know. They tended to be quite obscure and niche. But a trophy is a trophy. The games also tended to be quite short (obviously). It is unlikely that someone would be playing games like Skyrim or Red Dead Redemption 2 in order to complete a speed run.
