Still Waiting on the Will Smith’s Wild, Wild West DLC
Fans are getting some extra rewards for playing Red Dead Online. Players are getting 1.5x the gold and RDO$ in all Showdown Modes, Races, and Gun Rushes. Generous, right? Well, think about it this way. Red Dead Online is still in beta, still working out the kinks. Even with all the experience building the world of GTA Online, the wild West is a whole different thing. After all, it would be hard to expect Red Dead Online to pick up exactly where GTA Online left off. Looking at this news through that lens, it would seem Rockstar is giving out these bonuses to get more people playing their game.
Even if that is the case, that’s okay. GTA Online didn’t exactly start out as the online titan it is now. As the game develops, there are sure to be new additions to help fill itself out and changes to help its fans find a comfortable place in this world. That being said, in addition to the bonuses, some items from the Wheeler, Rawson & Co Catalogue have returned. The Hitched Skirt (for females only), Gator Hat, Ortega Vest, Morning Tail Coat, Strickland Boots, Furred Gloves, and Concho Pants are all coming back.
There are also some complementary items courtesy of Rockstar. Players can visit their Camp’s Lockbox or nearest Post Office to pick up “a selection of Potent Tonics.” In addition, for a limited time, there is a 25% discount on ammo and the Rank Restriction certain kinds of ammo have been lifted. So, even if you’re just jumping into the game, all the ammo is there for you to buy. No word on when any of this comes to an end, but you can see for yourself at Rockstar Games.
