Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery Still on Track for Spring 2018
Jam City has announced that pre-registration for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is now open on Android through the Google Play store. Pre-registering early means you’ll be among the first to be notified when the game launches sometime in Spring 2018.
A trailer showing off new gameplay has also dropped today, giving fans a closer look at what they can expect:
“We are grateful to the fans who have made Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery one of the most anticipated mobile games of 2018,” said Chris DeWolfe, co-founder and CEO of Jam City. “We’re thrilled to open Google pre-registration and share a new sneak peek at how this game will let fans create their own character and enter Hogwarts as a student for the first time.”
For those that haven’t been keeping track, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is a narrative-driven mobile RPG set in J.K. Rowling’s magical world. Players will get the chance to live out their Hogwarts fantasy by creating their own character, getting sorted, going to classes, learn spells and do all the things Harry, Ron, and Hermione got up to. Players will also be able to form friendships and rivalries with other students. Bring it, you slimy Slytherins!
There will also be “pivotal” choices to make that will influence the story and your character during their time at Hogwarts. The game features a new encounter system where “player decisions and actions impact their quest.”
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery will be available for Android and iOS devices. Now that Google Play registration is open, it’s just a matter of time before Apple users can do the same. For more information on the game, you can visit the official website.
