December Offers Chance to Play NieR: Automata, Courtesy of Square Enix
Among holiday treats being delivered this month, Square Enix is offering gamers the chance to play NieR: Automata via demo. This has been a PlayStation 4, highly-anticipated exclusive since its 2015 debut introducing us to the mysterious female protagonist. Slowly, Square Enix has been handing off info like gems as they near the end of production. Now they’re offering us the chance to play the game for ourselves.
Warning, trailer may contain inappropriate content:
This new demo takes android 2B, our protagonist, into an abandoned factory, where she must destroy a gigantic enemy weapon that lies within. Mission will be playable on December 22, and will be accessible to players via PlayStation Network. If gameplay is anywhere as good as it looks, then players will be in for a December treat… Another one.
NieR: Automata‘s full game release is set for March 7, 2017 in North America, and will be available on PlayStation 4 and Steam for $59.99. Square Enix’s Black Box Edition is also available exclusively through their online store at $189.99. Day One Edition is available for pre-order at participating retailers. For now, anticipatory gamers may play the demo over and over again, at least before March comes around. Better that players bear in mind, NieR: Automata will be rated M for Mature. Happy playing.
