Brutally intense Super Mutant Alien Assault heading to Full Release in Summer 2016
Three fleets of spaceships flee a doomed Earth carrying the last humans in cryostasis. Pursued by aliens, it’s up to the lowly security droids to save humanity. Developer Cybernate announced that the arcade platformer Super Mutant Alien Assault will deploy on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in the summer of 2016.
Inspired by arcade classics, Super Mutant Alien Assault is a dance with death across randomised single-screen levels. With a quick pace, dodging is just as important as shooting if you hope to live. The game is frantic when playing solo, but with local co-op, a second robot in play takes the action to a whole other level.
The game has a near bottomless pit of weapons, sidearms, special abilities, perks, and defense moves to be unlocked. Each single-screen level is a randomised combination of layouts, enemies, and objectives. You’ll never know which weapons or explosives will spawn or which special abilities will be served up. The more you unlock, the more mind-boggling the possible combinations become.
