Stoic and Versus Evil have joined forces to bring PC gamers the next major installation in the popular indie title, Banner Saga. That’s right friends, The Banner Saga 2 releases today on PC and Mac. Players can prepare themselves for the next stage in the BAFTA nominated series. Series admirers can expect more of the lovingly crafted universe, with gut-wrenching decisions and brutal gameplay that seemed to fuel the game’s popularity. Fans of the series on PS4 and Xbox One will be able to partake in the next harrowing chapter in the summer, where the game is expected to launch come summertime.
To help celebrate the launch, the game is being demoed at PAX East in Boston this week which runs from 22-24th April, 2016. The event will have a few special treats for attendees as well, with a dedicated panel for the game on Saturday April 23rd that will run from 10:30 to 11:30 AM in the Albatross Theatre. The trailer reveal ‘In Memoriam” by Penny Arcade contributor Kris Staub will also be shown, and fans will also be able to partake in special photos commemorating the event/game release. Convention goers will also be able to get hands on time with the game on Versus Evil booth #10081 in the main hall, where they will be able to continue to fuel their pin addiction by getting their hands on the limited edition Pinny Arcade “Bolverk” character pin.
Banner Saga 2 releases today for SRP €19.99/£14.99 through STEAM, Bundle Stars, Direct to Drive, GameFly, GameStop, GamersGate, Humble Store and UPlay. A Deluxe Edition, which includes the official soundtrack by Grammy nominated, two-time BAFTA winning composer Austin Wintory, is also available for €22.99/£18.99. As of writing, the game is confirmed live on Steam, so raise your bearded axes, don your helmets, and prepare to partake in the next chapter of this epic series.
