Vignus Revealed: Build a Bio-Automated Base on a Living Beast-Planet

Game studio Codifyre has unveiled its debut title, Vignus. It’s a top-down action-adventure game that weaves together exploration, base construction, automated production, and flexible combat customization. A reveal trailer accompanied the announcement, showcasing the core gameplay loop.

The most striking element of Vignus is its setting: a living, colossal beast-planet that serves as the game world itself. Players will venture into uncharted territories, encountering and taming strange creatures along the way.

These creatures aren’t merely pets or laborers; they’re both. Players must purify infected creatures and convert them into “living production units,” then chain together different biological traits to construct automated bio-pipelines that yield essential survival resources.

The combat system takes an interesting approach as well. Codifyre confirms that Vignus features “Zero-RNG Skill Customization,” meaning players can freely mix, match, and rearrange abilities at any time without relying on random rolls to get the perks they want. When facing different enemies, you can simply adjust your build to create targeted counters instead of grinding for luck.

The base isn’t just a production hub. The game incorporates tower-defense elements, requiring players to deploy specialized creature companions and maintain supply lines to fend off hostile invasions. Production management and defensive layout are interconnected and your creatures serve as both workers and guardians.

Vignus does not yet have a confirmed release date. The Steam store page is live, and you can add it to your wishlist.
