Shuffle and Seek Turns Hide-and-Seek Into Pure Multiplayer Chaos This September

Spot the Difference Before It’s Too Late in Shuffle and Seek

If your group enjoys chaotic party games, Shuffle and Seek might be worth adding to the wishlist. Developer Groovy Zebra Studio has officially announced that its 4-player asymmetric multiplayer game will launch on Steam for PC on September 23, 2026, promising a hilarious mix of memory, deception, and physics-fueled mayhem.

The concept is brilliantly simple. Players are split into two teams: Shufflers and Seekers. As a Shuffler, your job is to secretly move objects around the room before time runs out. Do you risk dragging a giant refrigerator across the floor for a huge score, or quietly nudge a tiny coffee cup and hope nobody notices? Every decision becomes a gamble.

Seekers, on the other hand, must inspect the room and figure out exactly what changed. Spot a suspiciously misplaced item? Shout “Gotcha!” to lock in your guess. Not completely confident? Call “Sus” and trust your instincts. It sounds straightforward until Shufflers start taunting you, blocking doorways, and turning the room into a slapstick battlefield where kicking opponents out of the way is a perfectly valid strategy.

Beyond the frantic gameplay, Groovy Zebra Studio has also emphasized that Shuffle and Seek is entirely human-made, with no generative AI used in its 3D models, artwork, animations, music, or sound effects.

Shuffle and Seek launches on September 23 for $5.99 (€6.15 / £5.29), and early buyers will get a 20% launch discount.

With its clever twist on hide-and-seek and nonstop laugh-out-loud moments, this could easily become one of September’s standout indie party games.
