Microids has officially announced K-POP Rising: Dream to Shine, a new rhythm-and-life simulation game that lets players experience the journey from aspiring trainee to global K-Pop superstar. Developed in collaboration with Old Skull Games, the title is set to launch on November 5 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC.
The game puts players in the fast-paced world of K-Pop, where talent, dedication, and stage presence are just as important as building a loyal fanbase. Alongside your close friend Nova, you’ll work your way through demanding training sessions, refine your performances, and aim to perform on some of the world’s biggest stages.
Character customization plays a major role, allowing players to create their own unique idol with stylish outfits, makeup, and personalized looks. Beyond performing, you’ll also form and manage your own K-Pop group, recruit members, and grow your popularity from a handful of supporters into a worldwide fandom through the power of social media.
Rhythm gameplay sits at the heart of the experience, challenging players to master choreography, improve their vocals, and perfect their timing to deliver standout performances. The journey begins in a small bedroom studio before gradually leading to sold-out arenas and international fame.
For those who enjoy playing with friends, the game also includes a cooperative mode for up to three players. Teaming up allows you to build your dream group and chase the top spot on the global music charts.
