A Dark Tale Awaits in Aerial_Knight’s MrFreezy
Aerial_Knight has officially announced that its latest project, Aerial_Knight’s MrFreezy, will launch exclusively on Steam on September 1, 2026. Developed by the studio’s small Black-owned indie team based in Detroit, the game marks a major departure from the fast-paced runners the developer is best known for, introducing a darkly comedic puzzle experience instead.

In MrFreezy, players take on the role of a mysterious woman who kidnaps men, stores their severed heads in freezers, and tries to remove multiple heads with a single swing of her axe. While the premise is undeniably grim, the game leans into absurd humor rather than traditional horror, creating a lighthearted puzzle adventure with an unusual twist.
Each level challenges players to line up heads efficiently, rewarding clever planning with higher scores and combo chains. As players progress, the puzzles become increasingly unpredictable. Special head types introduce new mechanics, including exploding Pumpkin Heads, immovable Stone Heads, and wandering Old Heads, forcing players to rethink their strategies and chase even bigger combos.
Replayability is a major focus, with score-chasing levels, online leaderboards, unlockable secrets, and multiple ways to improve each run. Fans of Aerial_Knight’s previous games will also find connections to the studio’s shared universe, with familiar characters making surprise appearances throughout the story.
The developer has also confirmed that Patreon supporters who have maintained a paid membership for at least three months will receive the game for free.
With its bizarre premise, strategic puzzle design, and dark sense of humor, Aerial_Knight’s MrFreezy is shaping up to be one of the studio’s most unconventional releases yet. It will be interesting to see how players respond when the game arrives this September.
