Take a Look at Terror: Endless Night
Fallen Leaf Studio has released a new trailer for Terror: Endless Night, giving players a deeper look at its harsh 19th-century Arctic survival experience. This turn-based strategy game that puts players in command of HMS Chione. It is a rescue vessel sent to search for the lost Royal Navy ships HMS Terror and HMS Erebus. These ships disappeared beneath Arctic ice during an expedition aimed at finding a route to East Asia.
The story centers on a personal tragedy that fuels the mission. The captain originally chose to lead the expedition but stepped aside and let his son take command so he could build his own legacy. After the expedition fails and his son goes missing, the captain joins the rescue effort and becomes trapped in the frozen Arctic Ocean, overwhelmed by guilt and responsibility.
Players must actively manage every aspect of survival. Each crew member has unique skills, personal needs, and mental limits. The captain must assign duties, ration limited supplies, maintain the ship, and enforce laws that shape life onboard.
As resources run low, the game forces players to make difficult moral choices. Survival often competes with compassion, and decisions can push the crew toward extreme actions as hunger, cold, and desperation intensify.
The endless polar night also affects the crew’s sanity. Isolation, starvation, and constant loss steadily break morale, and the environment becomes as dangerous as any physical threat. Survival remains uncertain, and even those who return may not escape unchanged.
With its blend of historical inspiration, psychological tension, and brutal survival mechanics, Terror: Endless Night is shaping up to be a dark and thought-provoking strategy experience ahead of its Q4 2026 PC release.
