Check Out the Awesome Combos of Echo Generation 2
Echo Generation 2 is stepping further into the spotlight with a fresh combat teaser, offering a closer look at the strategy behind its upcoming release. Developed by Cococucumber, the sci-fi deckbuilder is set to launch on May 27 for PC via Steam and on Xbox Series X|S, including support for Xbox on PC, Cloud, and day-one availability through Xbox Game Pass.
The new footage arrives as part of Steam Deckbuilders Fest 2026, highlighting the game’s evolving combat system. A playable demo remains available across Steam and Xbox, where it has already earned a strong community reception with over 90% positive reviews. It also secured a high spot among “Popular Upcoming” titles during February’s Steam Next Fest.
Combat in Echo Generation 2 revolves around building smart synergies between its diverse cast. Each character brings a unique role to the battlefield. Jack focuses on long-term setups through status effects, while Bulder thrives on risky, high-damage plays that become stronger as his health drops. Noliva delivers precise single-target damage through careful sequencing, supported by her companion Strix, who converts enemy debuffs into team-wide advantages.
Other characters expand tactical options further. Annata Z acts as a resilient tank, absorbing damage while spreading debuffs, and Sister M excels in multi-target attacks that control crowds and enhance status-based strategies.
With more than 150 cards covering offense, defense, and utility, the deckbuilding system builds on the original game’s strategic foundation while offering greater flexibility in playstyles.
As launch day approaches, Echo Generation 2 is shaping up to be a deeper and more refined experience, combining tactical combat with character-driven design in a way that could appeal to both returning players and newcomers alike.
