Roll the Dice in Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains
Ubisoft has officially revealed Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains, a fresh and energetic take on the classic board game, set to launch on June 11 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, GeForce Now, and Windows PC via the Ubisoft Store, Epic Games Store, and Steam. A full gameplay reveal is scheduled for April 29, promising to offer fans a closer look at what this reimagined experience has to offer.
Developed by Behaviour Interactive, the game brings the iconic Star Wars universe into a custom-designed Monopoly board. The cool part is that it is full of familiar locations from across the saga. While it retains the core mechanics of traditional Monopoly, this version introduces cinematic moments, themed spaces, and dynamic gameplay elements that keep each session engaging. Players can select from a diverse lineup of characters as well. This includes Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, and Darth Maul. Though it is not a surprise, each character offers unique abilities that influence strategy and gameplay.
The game will feature competitive 2v2 and 3v3 modes, playable both online and through couch co-op. This team-based structure transforms the familiar Monopoly format into a fast-paced, strategic battle where coordination and character combinations are key. Properties can shift quickly, and special GO events add unexpected twists that can dramatically change the course of a match.
With evolving strategies, character-driven gameplay, and constant surprises, the game promises to deliver a lively and replayable experience that encourages players to return for more.
