Chaotic Actions Awaits in Minimo
Low Drag Labs has officially revealed Minimo with its first announcement trailer, introducing a bold multiplayer concept that blends MMO-scale gameplay with roguelike structure. Designed for fast, high-energy sessions, the game drops up to 200 players into a shared world where each run lasts around 30 minutes, creating a chaotic yet cooperative experience.
According to co-founder Jon Selin, the goal behind Minimo is to bring back the memorable, large-scale moments that defined classic MMOs, but in a format that feels more accessible. Instead of long, time-heavy commitments, the game focuses on quick sessions that still deliver meaningful progression and social interaction.
Each run takes place in a procedurally generated world that shifts every time players jump in. Objectives are shared across all participants, and as they are completed, new areas open up. Not only that, but the overall difficulty also increases steadily. Boss encounters and evolving challenges keep every session dynamic, ensuring no two runs play out the same way.
A major highlight is the game’s emphasis on massive co-op. Hundreds of players work together in real time, shaping the outcome of each session through collective progress. Between runs, players can unlock and experiment with up to 50 different classes. This ranges from combat-focused roles to support and crafting builds, allowing for a wide variety of playstyles.
With its mix of large-scale cooperation, randomized design, and short session structure, Minimo aims to deliver a fresh take on multiplayer gaming that fits neatly into modern play habits while still capturing the excitement of shared adventures.
