Build Your Empire in Merchant of the Skies

AstralRide has officially opened pre-registrations for Merchant of the Skies, its popular airship trading simulator, ahead of its mobile launch on April 14, 2026. The game, which currently holds an impressive 87% “Very Positive” rating on Steam, is making the jump to mobile with a fully redesigned experience built specifically for touchscreen devices. This premium version promises a smooth, ad-free experience without any intrusive monetization systems.

Merchant of the Skies

In Merchant of the Skies, players take control of a customizable airship and set out to build a thriving trade empire high above the clouds. The gameplay blends base-building, economic strategy, and light exploration, creating a calm and relaxing experience focused on efficiency and discovery rather than combat. The mobile adaptation stays true to the original while making navigation and controls feel natural on smaller screens.

According to AstralRide founder Alexandre Le Mieux, the team worked to maintain the depth of the game’s economic systems while preserving its peaceful atmosphere. The goal was to deliver a complete premium experience that avoids ads, energy systems, and pay-to-win mechanics.

The game features a dynamic economy where players can trade goods across procedurally generated floating islands. Players can also expand by purchasing islands, setting up production chains, and automating trade routes for steady income. Exploration plays a key role as well, with unique airships and unusual encounters scattered throughout the skies. With over 200 building options, players can design their own sky-high headquarters and personal spaces.
