Set Up Your Shop in Dungeon Bodega Simulator
Indie studio Alien Fruit has officially launched its quirky new simulation title, Dungeon Bodega Simulator, on Steam today, offering players a cozy yet unusual management experience set deep within a dungeon.
In this short-form sim, players step into the role of Elm Myrkwater, a recently unemployed adventurer who inherits a rundown dungeon-side bodega from a distant uncle. What begins as a cold, prison-like space soon turns into a lively hub for adventurers and dungeon dwellers. Along the way, players will rebuild and customize the shop over the course of a 3 to 4-hour story spanning 24 in-game days.
The gameplay blends shop management with light crafting and farming systems. Players can grow a variety of crops, process them into useful items, and brew potions that fetch high prices. There is also the option to forge weapons and tools, expanding the range of goods available for sale. With more than eight crop types and multiple crafting paths, the game encourages experimentation while building a thriving business.
Beyond the shop, the dungeon itself plays a key role. Players will meet regular customers, unlock new visitor types, and uncover small mysteries tied to the setting. A day-and-night cycle allows flexible pacing, giving players time to focus on upgrading their bodega or interacting with locals.
Adding charm to the experience are collectible pet slimes that help convert spare items into potions, along with a friendly bodega cat that players can interact with. After completing the main story, an infinite mode opens up for continued play.
