Valve Corporation has spotlighted inKONBINI: One Store. Many Stories in the official trailer for Steam Next Fest February 2026 Edition. This marks a major milestone for the heartfelt indie title. Following a warm reception at Indie Fan Fest, developer Nagai Industries and publisher Beep Japan Inc. have launched an updated demo as part of the event, which begins today.

Set in a small-town Japanese convenience store in the early 1990s, the game places players in the role of Makoto Hayakawa. She is a college student helping her aunt run the charming Honki-Ponki konbini. Players manage daily store tasks, chat with familiar customers, and make subtle choices that gently shape the stories. The experience highlights the beauty of routine, nostalgia, and quiet human connection.
The refreshed Steam Next Fest demo enhances the core gameplay loop with smoother interactions. It now features improved pacing and a more inviting atmosphere. Each shift behind the counter now feels more natural and meditative, encouraging players to settle into the calming rhythm of store life. Whether stepping inside for the first time or returning for another visit, players can expect a more polished and emotionally resonant experience.
Looking ahead, the team has teased an expanded outfit system for Makoto. This allows light customization of her uniform with era-appropriate variations.
