Wishlist Orbit to Riches Now
ThinKING Cat Games has officially announced Orbit to Riches, a new idle and incremental space game, alongside the launch of its Steam page. The developer has also confirmed that a free playable demo will arrive on Steam next week, giving players an early look at the project.
Orbit to Riches centers on mining dense rings of asteroids that orbit a planet. Players pilot a ship through these rings, destroying asteroids to gather valuable resources. These materials are then used to upgrade ships, unlock new abilities, and improve overall mining efficiency. The core loop balances active play with long-term progression, making each session feel rewarding even after stepping away.
Each ship run lasts roughly 20 to 60 minutes, but progress carries over through a larger meta system. While players directly control a single ship, additional unlocked ships can be assigned to idle mining roles. These ships continue generating resources in the background, supporting gradual upgrades and deeper progression over time.
The idea for Orbit to Riches originated during a one-week prototype challenge on itch.io. Among several experimental concepts, this project stood out as the most promising and received strong interest. Since then, ThinKING Cat Games has been expanding it into a full Steam release, featuring improved visuals, more ship options, and more layered progression mechanics.
Players interested in trying the game early can access a rough prototype version on itch.io. A more polished demo will be available for free on Steam next week, offering a clearer preview of the game’s direction and systems.
