Bobo Bay Heads to Steam Next Fest This February With Playable Demo

Get Ready to Ride a Jet Ski in Bobo Bay

NewFutureKids has announced that Bobo Bay will be part of Steam Next Fest this February, giving players around the world a chance to experience its cozy virtual pet simulation through a free playable demo. Beginning February 23, Steam users can jump into the demo to explore the game’s creature-raising systems and get an early look at what the full release will offer ahead of its planned Q2 2026 launch.

Alongside the Steam Next Fest reveal, the studio also released a new trailer that highlights one of Bobo Bay’s newest features, the JetSki. The trailer provides a broader glimpse into the game’s vibrant world, charming creatures, and laid-back island setting, while also highlighting the significant role exploration plays in the overall experience.

During the event, players will be able to download the demo directly from the Steam platform. The demo introduces the core gameplay systems, including collecting and caring for adorable creatures known as Bobos. Players can nurture their Bobos as they grow, combine traits through mashing and customization, and personalize them with accessories. Training is another key focus, allowing Bobos to compete in races and brawls that reward progression and experimentation.

The demo also includes Excursion Mode, where players can rent a JetSki and explore procedurally generated islands. These trips involve solving light puzzles, uncovering hidden secrets, and collecting loot, all while keeping an eye on the JetSki’s fuel supply. Early progression systems are included to give a clear sense of the depth planned for the full game.

During Steam Next Fest, players can try the Bobo Bay demo for free and add the game to their wishlist in anticipation of its full release.
