Death Howl Is Getting a Physical Release for P5 and Switch in Q1 2026

Add Death Howl to Your Shelf

Publisher Silver Lining Interactive has announced a partnership with developer The Outer Zone and digital publisher 11 bit studios to bring Death Howl to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch as a physical edition in the first quarter of 2026.

Set in a world steeped in grief and mysticism, Death Howl merges the punishing combat of a soulslike with the thoughtful strategy of a deck builder. Players will craft cards, wield shamanic totems, and face restless spirits wandering the realm of lass and longing. At the center of this journey is Ro, a grieving mother who dares to cross the veil between life and death in a desperate attempt to revive her son. Her story unfolds through haunting landscapes, spectral battles, and choices that test both courage and conviction.

For collectors and fans of atmospheric storytelling, the upcoming physical edition offers more than just the game itself. Each boxed copy includes a digital version of the soundtrack. This allows players to immerse themselves in the game’s eerie and emotional world even outside the screen. Pre-orders for this edition are open through Silver Lining Direct and select local retailers. So, make sure to secure your copy ahead of its release.

With its fusion of somber narrative and inventive mechanics, Death Howl promises to deliver a deeply personal and unforgettable experience. The game will explore the lengths a mother will go to confront fate and the unseen forces that bind the living and the dead.
