Magical Journey Awaits in Wizard101
KingsIsle Entertainment has officially brought its beloved turn-based MMO, Wizard101, to consoles, allowing players to experience its spellbinding world beyond PC for the first time. The magical adventure that has captivated millions of players is now available on PlayStation and Xbox. This launch opens the gates of the Spiral to an entirely new audience of aspiring wizards.
Originally a PC-exclusive title, Wizard101 blends strategy and fantasy in a turn-based deckbuilding system. Players attend Ravenwood Academy, learn spells, and battle to protect the Spiral’s many enchanting worlds. With its arrival on consoles, both new players and longtime fans can dive into this family-friendly MMO. It is a world filled with colorful characters, whimsical settings, and layers of magical storytelling.
The console version of Wizard101 is free to download and offers complimentary access up to the newly expanded Free to Play area in the Oasis zone of Krokotopia. Players can unlock additional adventures using Crowns, the in-game currency, or purchase Access Passes through the console storefront. At launch, PlayStation and Xbox users can buy the Wizard101 Arc 1 Access Pass, which includes the complete first arc of the story, for $19.99.
Console players will begin their journey anew, as progression from PC servers does not carry over, and cross progression is currently unavailable. KingsIsle also confirmed that Wizard101 will launch on Nintendo Switch at a later date. It will also be available for $19.99, which includes full access to the first story arc. Switch players will share servers with other console users, ensuring a shared magical experience across platforms.
With its console debut, Wizard101 continues to expand its enchanted universe, welcoming both returning wizards and newcomers to a world where magic and strategy intertwine.
