MONGIL: STAR DIVE Has Started Recruiting for 2nd Close Beta Test

Experience Episode 2 of MONGIL: STAR DIVE

Netmarble has opened recruitment for the second closed beta test of its upcoming action RPG MONGIL: STAR DIVE, developed by Netmarble Monster. Scheduled for September 30 to October 10, the test will be available on PC via the Netmarble Launcher and Epic Games Store. Players can apply on the official website until September 29 for a chance to join.

MONGIL: STAR DIVE

The beta will unveil Episode 2 of the main storyline, following the 9th Brigade of the Solar Knights, Esther, Flare, and Reina as their adventure expands and the dark force corrupting once peaceful monsters becomes clearer. Fans will also get a first glimpse of Daisy, a new character set for a full debut in Episode 3.

Among the highlights is the introduction of the Monsterling Link Chain system. Building on MONGIL’s unique Monsterling feature, which allows players to capture and equip charming creatures as keychains, the new system takes things further by activating skills and offering special effects. Monsterling-based minigames, including Monster Racing, will also be playable.

The CBT adds over 30 new Monsterlings, a raid boss named Amon, fresh dungeons for skill and artifact upgrades, and expanded cooking and crafting options. According to Game Publishing Director Jung Ho Lee, the test will reveal a wide range of content while gathering player feedback to refine the experience.

As the follow-up to the acclaimed 2013 mobile RPG Monster Taming, MONGIL: STAR DIVE features Unreal Engine 5-powered graphics, real-time tag-based combat with three-character parties, and deep monster taming mechanics. The game is set for a global release on PC and mobile in the second half of 2025, with pre-registration open on its official site, Epic Games Store, Google Play, and the App Store. Netmarble will showcase the game at Tokyo Game Show 2025 starting from September 25.
