Step Into the Court in Burden of Truth
Solo developer RobProductions has unveiled Burden of Truth, a court-based 3D adventure game heavily inspired by the Ace Attorney series. The game is now available on Steam for PC, Mac, and Linux, and is part of the Debate & Deduction Bundle, which also features notable mystery titles such as Paper Perjury, Nina Aquila: Legal Eagle, and Pro Philosopher 2.
Fans will be able to purchase the official Burden of Truth soundtrack on Steam starting October 8th, alongside the Deluxe Edition Bundle that includes both the game and soundtrack, offering a complete experience for those eager to step into the courtroom and fight for justice.

Burden of Truth continues RobProductions’ signature hybrid approach, combining third-person investigations with intricate logic puzzles that challenge players to think carefully about each case. Players can explore detailed 3D environments to examine crime scenes, collect evidence, and make deductions using the game’s innovative tagging system, which provides additional context on each clue. Tracking the origin of every item added to the court record is essential, and clever use of on-hand objects can help navigate precarious situations outside the courtroom.
In the courtroom, the game puts players in the role of legal counsel, tasked with cross-examining witnesses and presenting evidence to support their argument. Choosing when to object and when to remain silent is crucial, as judges and opposing counsel become increasingly impatient with unsupported claims. Each decision can alter the trial’s direction, with discoveries sometimes contradicting earlier testimony. Logic becomes the player’s primary tool, allowing them to uncover errors in witness statements and confront the truth head-on.
With its mix of strategic courtroom battles and investigative depth, Burden of Truth offers a challenging and engaging journey for anyone ready to prove their case.
