Bladesong Has Forged a Demo on Steam Today

Become a Swordsmith in Bladesong

The swordmaking adventure Bladesong has released its first playable demo on Steam, giving players a chance to step into the forge and begin their journey as a master swordsmith. Developed by Mythwright with SUN AND SERPENT creations, the game combines deep crafting systems with a story that begins at the gates of Eren Keep, one of the last safe havens of humankind. You can check out the official demo release trailer below to get a glimpse of the work ahead.

The demo offers the opening chapter of Story Mode, where players forge weapons for the camp and explore the ruins of the Lost City. It also includes Creative Mode, a sandbox experience featuring a wide library of parts, tools, and materials. It enable freeform blade shaping and modular assembly. Players can customise every sword in detail, from curved blades to intricate engravings, ensuring that no two creations are alike.

As the workshop grows, commissions from warriors, nobles, and mercenaries challenge players to balance their designs using physics-based ratings. Looking ahead, the developers have confirmed that Bladesong will feature 3D printing support when it enters Early Access. This will allow players to create decorative plastic models of their in-game swords. More details will be shared closer to launch.

“As one of our most eagerly anticipated titles, we can’t wait for players to discover Bladesong today with our first playable demo,” said Stuart Morton, Publishing Director at Mythwright. “With unparalleled levels of detail and customisation available for players to craft the ultimate sword of their dreams, we’re very excited to see what the community creates as they take their first steps into the world of swordsmithing.”

Bladesong will arrive in Steam Early Access in late 2025 and is available to wishlist now.
