Join the Fight in BROK: The Brawl Bar
French developer and publisher COWCAT has launched BROK: The Brawl Bar on PC today. It is a fresh take on the beat ’em up genre that mixes over-the-top brawling with a sharp sense of humor and inventive twists. The game offers a series of dynamic encounters that draw inspiration from the creative “Event matches” of Super Smash Bros, reimagined here with entirely new mechanics designed to keep each fight unpredictable and engaging.
Players can dive in solo or team up with a friend to tackle a lively cast of characters and scenarios set in a gritty but comical bar environment. Alongside the action, the story reveals oddball personalities and surprises at every turn. It creates a setting that is as fun to explore as it is to fight through.
One of the game’s standout features is its extensive customization. Full Steam Workshop integration and a versatile Creator Mode allow players to craft their own challenges. They can also build custom characters and share them with the community. This opens the door to a constantly evolving pool of content that keeps the experience fresh long after the first playthrough.
Initially conceived as a DLC for the original BROK, the project’s scope grew so much that it evolved into a full standalone release for all platforms, though on Steam, it integrates with the original game.
BROK: The Brawl Bar is now available on PC via Steam, GOG, and itch.io for \$9.99 (9,99 €), with console versions planned for later this year. It is a quirky, fast-paced brawler that blends humor, creativity, and punchy combat into one distinctive package.
