Resonant Blade Is Slashing Its Way Onto Steam This Month

Sharpen the Resonant Blade

Wise Wombat Games, a solo developer based in Austin, Texas, will release its debut title, Resonant Blade, on Steam on July 22. Blending fast-paced hack and slash combat with sound-driven mechanics and puzzle solving, Resonant Blade invites players into a vibrant pixel art world teetering on the edge of collapse. At launch, the game will be available for $19.99, with a 10% discount for early buyers. Console versions are already in the works as well, so stay tuned for more updates in the future.

In Resonant Blade, players control Atlas, a former scientist who picks up arms after the Dark Synths, a rogue AI force, lay waste to the planet Terra. Using the Resonant Blade, a powerful weapon that channels sonic energy, Atlas fights back against the robotic invaders. Players must tune into Resonant Tones to exploit enemy weaknesses, time attacks, and adapt quickly to survive intense battles.

Each encounter challenges players to listen closely and react with precision. Dash, parry, and sync your tones to unleash powerful Triad attacks that turn combat into a musical rhythm of destruction. Players will explore four complex dungeons and face six major bosses. Each one of them has distinct mechanics and audio cues that demand strategy and awareness.

Along the way, players can unlock new Resonant Tones to expand their arsenal and customize their playstyle. Mods let players shape their own approach, whether they prefer rapid aggression, defensive timing, or puzzle-based finesse.

With its unique blend of action and sound, Resonant Blade transforms each fight into a test of both reflexes and rhythm. Wishlist it now on Steam and step into the world of Terra when the battle begins on July 22.
