Solve the Mystery in Morgan: Metal Detective
Studio Morgan has announced that Morgan: Metal Detective, a cosy first-person adventure game, will launch on July 30. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Players step into the role of Morgan, a curious teenage girl who visits the quiet Cornish island of Glasden with her mum after the recent passing of her grandfather.
In the game, Morgan discovers that her grandfather has left her something special: his cherished metal detector. Inspired by the stories he used to tell her about Glasden’s hidden treasure, she decides to continue his search. As she explores the island, Morgan begins piecing together the mystery her grandfather spent years chasing.
The island’s residents have their own stories and lost items scattered across the landscape. Using the metal detector, Morgan must think carefully about where to search, unearthing forgotten belongings and returning them to their owners. Each successful return earns her a unique cassette tape filled with music she can listen to while exploring.
Even the most ordinary objects have value. Morgan can exchange unwanted finds for credits to buy sticker packs and film for her instant camera. She can then use these to decorate her in-game journal, adding a personal touch with photos and keepsakes collected during her journey.
Morgan: Metal Detective blends exploration, puzzle-solving, and creativity into a peaceful, story-rich experience.
