Cicada Games has launched the much-awaited ‘Mysterious Update’ for Isles of Sea and Sky today on Steam. This oceanic, open world puzzle adventure is currently featured as a Steam Daily Deal, available at 66% off from July 30 to August 13. So, make sure to grab the deal before it’s too late.
The ‘Mysterious Update’ comes with major additions, expanding the game’s intricate puzzle network. Notably, two new meta puzzles now join the original pair. Unlike standard puzzles confined to one area, meta puzzles challenge players to connect clues across multiple screens, demanding exploration and sharp memory.
The game’s elemental system also receives a clever twist. Each major island features a guardian elemental: Stone, Water, Fire, or Wind, with unique powers that affect gameplay. This update introduces four new crossover puzzles that combine two different elementals at once, adding layered interactions and strategic depth.
A fan favorite mechanic also returns. The rare Time Block, or Undo Block, which resists the game’s undo function, now appears in a brand-new puzzle on a newly added small island. Its revival expands one of the most surprising elements from the base game.
A new secret layer is now hidden within the world, accessible by uncovering the elusive Serpent Circlet artifact. With it, players can revisit familiar areas to uncover hidden puzzles and messages. Solving these leads to the discovery of Pyramidions, an ultra-rare collectible requiring both wit and determination.
