Blightstone Joins the Turn-Based Fest
Blightstone, the brutal turn-based tactical roguelike from Unfinished Pixel, has launched a brand new public demo on Steam, now live as part of the Turn-Based Fest showcase. Furthermore, a newly released gameplay trailer accompanies the demo, offering a closer look at the game’s strategic depth, environmental combat, and intense boss battles.
Known for its gridless, position-driven combat, Blightstone challenges players to think beyond traditional tactics. The battlefield itself becomes a weapon, where terrain and weather can turn the tide. Players lead a customizable squad of five distinct classes through procedurally generated zones, using limited resources to survive a world corrupted by the Blight.
The updated demo introduces several major improvements. Players can expect a completely overhauled user interface and new cinematic event scripting for a more immersive experience. The developers have rebalanced the combat, adjusting skills and enemy behavior to create more dynamic encounters. Visuals have also received a polish, alongside performance enhancements for smoother gameplay. The demo is fully optimized for the Turn-Based Fest event, making it an ideal time to jump in.
With a full launch planned for 2025, Blightstone is aiming to push the boundaries of tactical roguelikes. The current demo offers a glimpse into what’s coming, giving players a chance to test strategies, explore evolving mechanics, and experience the unforgiving world ahead of release.
The demo is free to download on Steam now. Players can also wishlist the game to stay updated as development continues. Watch the new trailer and explore the latest version of Blightstone today.
