Fevercide – A Haunting Descent Into an Empire That Never Fell

Face the Demons From the Past in Fevercide

Redblack Spade is thrilled to announce its upcoming title, Fevercide, launching soon on PC via Steam. It is a haunting metroidvania adventure set in an alternate 1930s, where the Russian Empire still stands, its cities steeped in grandeur and secrets. At the heart of this eerie journey is Sandra, a woman trying to outrun her past and the spirits that never stopped watching.

Ten years have passed since Sandra’s haunted childhood ended with her father’s sudden disappearance. The angry spirits that plagued their home vanished with him, leaving only silence. But when a letter addressed to her father arrives, postmarked from a long-abandoned station, the silence breaks. A ghostly train awaits, and this time, the spirits are after Sandra.

As she journeys deeper into a surreal, nightmarish world, Sandra must navigate a descent through her own private hell. Monstrous foes, cryptic puzzles, and the echoes of her family’s hidden sins fill her path. With each step, she uncovers long-buried truths and confronts the legacy her father left behind.

Fevercide combines hand-drawn, frame-by-frame animation with action-packed combat, offering over 150 weapons, spells, and unusual super abilities to customize your approach. Its rich metroidvania structure invites players to explore intricate environments filled with secrets, supported by an intuitive, comment-friendly map system.

Blending horror and adventure, the game features a cast of unforgettable NPCs, puzzles to solve, cats to rescue, and spirits to communicate with. Every decision shapes Sandra’s journey in a world built on forgotten ideals and fading grandeur.

Set in a striking Art Deco vision of St. Petersburg, Fevercide invites players into a dreamlike past where beauty, decay, and dread walk hand in hand.
