A New Short Campaign Awaits in Dustwind
Z-Software has just released “Two Friends,” a free mini-campaign for Dustwind, now available on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox. This new story expansion is a complimentary update for all existing Dustwind players and offers a compact but meaningful experience while fans await the upcoming sequel.
Set alongside the events of the original campaign, The Last Resort, “Two Friends” follows a pair of scavengers as you and your friend Bob leave behind a dull life after hearing a call from the Heroine’s camp. The journey ahead brings challenges, strange encounters, and a few surprises.
“We wanted to give our community something meaningful while they wait for Dustwind: Resistance,” said Andreas Heldt, Head of Z-Software GmbH. “Two Friends is a tribute to the original game. It’s a compact, tactical story with emotional weight—and, yes, it packs a punch.”
The DLC includes:
– A brand new story-driven mini campaign
– Charming characters, humor, and gritty survival moments
– New locations to explore
– Core tactical gameplay with improvements and bug fixes
The update downloads automatically for all Dustwind owners.
On the other hand, the release of Dustwind: Resistance is approaching as well. Players can wishlist it now on Steam ahead of its June 2025 launch for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. A free playable demo of Resistance is coming to Steam later this month.
