Join the Playtest of The Way of the Tray
The indie game developer Who is Terry? is delighted to announce its debut game, The Way of The Tray. It is a simulator where you play as a waiter in a Japanese restaurant. And here is the twist: all the customers are either spirits or yokai. Targem Games will publish the game, and it will be coming out this year on PC via Steam. Moreover, the playtest is also live on the platform, so “Request Access” and dive right into it.
Lost in a mystical world of spirits, you can only earn your way home one tray at a time. In The Way of the Tray, you step into the role of a waiter in a bustling restaurant filled with yokai. Inspired by Ghibli films, this action-packed puzzle game challenges you to serve unusual customers while mastering the delicate art of balance.
Every step counts. Keep your tray steady, or your hard-earned tips will slip away. Time management is key. Serve each guest quickly or they might leave in frustration. With each shift, you will gain experience, improve your skills, and unlock upgrades to make your job a little easier.
The menu is filled with traditional Japanese dishes, from sushi and ramen to onigiri and fortune cookies. But it is not just about food. You will uncover the secrets of the spirit world as you work. With every successful order, you inch closer to finding your way home. But do not forget to pay the rent because staying in this world is not free. Balance, strategy, and quick thinking will determine your fate. Can you handle the pressure of a restaurant filled with spirits?
