The ‘Nature Update’ Has Arrived on Overthrown
Maximum Entertainment just rolled out the second major update for Overthrown, the chaotic co-op city builder from Brimstone. It is available now on Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview. In this fast-paced kingdom-building adventure, you will toss everything, from houses and trees to your own citizens, into the sky to shape the realm of your dreams.
Since its Early Access debut, Overthrown has already received one big update, adding firebombs, powder kegs, woolies, and extended seasons. Now the Nature Update brings even more to the table, introducing new tree species, environmental zones, citizen types, and fresh abilities to expand your world.
Here are some key features of the Nature Update:
– New Builder’s Workshop & Builders, Foragers Hut & Foragers, Weaving Mill & Weavers
– New decorative props such as scarecrows, hay feeders, and soldier posts
– A mighty new weapon: The Greathammer
– New tree species including fir trees
– Enhanced lighting
– Overhauled user interface (UI) for improved accessibility
– A new ‘bowling’ effect when tossing boulders
– Expanded buildings and citizens with unique abilities
– Introduction of Theatres and Bards
– And much more!
In the game, you step into the role of Runa, a monarch wielding a powerful soul-stealing crown. With its magic, you will carve out a kingdom in a dangerous wilderness, defending it from mutants and bandits that lurk beyond your borders. Build and manage your domain alone or team up with up to five others in an online co-op. Set up key buildings like the butcher shop, ale house, and sawmill, farm the land, and adapt to the ever-changing seasons.
You can jump into Overthrown now via Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview, with Xbox Game Pass offering day-one access. The full 1.0 release is coming later to Xbox Series X S, PC, and PlayStation 5.
