Feel the Music in Look Mum No Computer
Publisher Headup and developer The Bitfather are teaming up to bring Look Mum No Computer, a fast-paced twin-stick shooter action RPG, to PC this year. Created in collaboration with musician and tech influencer Sam Battle, better known as Look Mum No Computer, the game fuses high-energy combat with interactive music-making, letting players craft their soundtrack as they fight off rebellious household machines.
Set in the pixel-art world of Soldersworth, players join Sam and his Synthesizer sidekick Kosmo on a mission to repair rogue devices from the inside. Using DIY-crafted synth modules, music-based attacks, and clever problem-solving, they battle chaotic enemies while shaping the game’s dynamic soundtrack.
Players can collect electronic components to build and upgrade weaponized synthesizer modules, each serving as both a powerful weapon and a key part of the game’s evolving score. Signature creations from Look Mum No Computer, such as the flamethrower module inspired by the infamous flamethrower organ, add to the fun. Exploration takes them deep into strange and colorful machine worlds filled with bizarre enemies, from acid-spewing capacitors to undead broccoli. Along the way, they complete quests, tackle epic bosses, and restore order one electrifying beat at a time.
Combat combines twin-stick shooting with resource management, requiring players to balance energy between their arsenal and their music-making gear. Whether someone enjoys retro gaming, electronic music, or DIY creativity, this game offers a unique blend of action and sound design. More details, including additional platforms and the release date, will be revealed soon, so stay tuned for further updates.
