Explore a Dark Realm in Verho
Developer SaikingS has announced that a demo version of Verho will launch on Steam on 24 October 2024. You can wishlist the game right now to get notified when it comes out. This 3D retro dungeon is set to release in 2025, so keep an eye out for further updates. In the meantime, check out the official trailer below to get a glimpse of its gameplay.
Verho is a retro dungeon crawler that feels like a blast from the past, inspired by classics like King’s Field and Shadow Tower. You’ll venture into the shadowy land of Yariv, where a strange curse has taken hold: the Curse of Faces. If two people look at each other’s faces, they both drop dead. That’s why everyone hides behind masks.
But not everyone is content to live like that. Some brave souls head to Yariv, the place where the curse began hoping to end it for good. You’re one of them. Will you break the curse… or be consumed by it?
The demo will offer 4-5 hours of core gameplay, with around 7-8 hours needed to achieve 100% completion. You’ll face 20 different enemies, including two challenging bosses, across five distinct areas. Along the way, discover a treasure trove of gear, including 20 weapons, 10 spells, 11 rings, and plenty of other unique items. Plus, you’ll encounter 12 NPCs, each adding their flavor to your adventure.
