Phasmophobia Is Coming to Early Access on Consoles This Month

Hunt the Ghosts in Phasmophobia

Kinetic Games just dropped a brand-new trailer for Phasmophobia for consoles during the Xbox Partner Preview. This trailer confirms that the game will be coming to early access on consoles on 29 October 2024. So, get ready for spine-tingling thrills this Halloween as players on PS5, PS VR2, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam can team up with friends for an adventure.

Phasmophobia isn’t just creeping onto consoles with early access as it’s also hitting a massive milestone. Since its Steam early access debut in 2020, this ghost-hunting phenomenon has sold nearly 20 million copies worldwide and racked up over 550,000 overwhelmingly positive reviews. With numbers like these, it’s cemented itself as one of the most beloved games on the platform, and the hype is only growing.

“We are so happy to see Phasmophobia enter console early access” Stated Daniel Knight, CEO and Lead Developer at Kinetic Games “the community has been asking for console versions, and has waited a little while for it to happen. The development team at Kinetic Games have worked exceptionally hard to make this request a reality.”

To celebrate the awesome community, there will also be a Halloween Special event for the very first time. It will feature a community goal-oriented task where players can work together to permanently unlock the eerie Blood Moon weather. Additionally, players will get to earn a new badge and trophy by completing different community goals.

The PC version will get an update that boosts overall performance, fixes bugs reported by the community, and introduces a new event board filled with fresh challenges and rewards.

Phasmophobia is already available now on PC via Steam. The PS5, PS VR2, and Xbox X/S will arrive on October 29th, 2024 for a price of $19.99/£16.75/€19.50.
