Castle Pixel and Playtonic Friends have released the first PC Open Beta demo for Cattle Country on Steam. Everyone can start their wholesome farming adventure in this beautiful pixel art world. Take this opportunity to enjoy this anticipated cozy Wild West life-sim and leave your valuable feedback to polish the game further.
The Cattle Country Open Beta builds on the insights from the August Closed Beta. It offers the players a richer glimpse into the full frontier experience. There are new features, inspired by community feedback, including prairie pets, expanded mining mechanics, and upgraded tools. But the excitement doesn’t stop there, as more surprises are coming. So, prepare to explore everything the game has in store for us.
At the start, you’ll create your character, choose pronouns, name your ranch, and meet Mayor Archibald, who has prepared a small ranch to help you settle in. You can follow an optional tutorial or jump straight into exploring. Mayor Archibald will hang around to offer quick travel to the Town Square or Mines, but if you prefer to explore on foot, signposts will guide your way.
You’ll meet lively locals from the Welcoming Committee, including Carl the bank teller, Sassy the outdoor expert, John the blacksmith, and Carrie, the saloon owner (whose place might just be haunted!). Along the way, you can tackle quests, fish, craft, decorate your homestead, and dive into the mines for more adventures.
