The indie game studio Pinapl has released a free demo for Alnico Smithery on PC via Steam. Players can finally try out this physics-based forging simulator before diving into it. The full game already came out on the platform on 25 October and it is currently available in Early Access for just $10.04 at a 33% discount.

Alnico Smithery is a hand-drawn, physics-based forging game. Your job is to dig for ore, smelt it into metal, discover new alloys, and craft tools to bring your grandfather’s old workshop back to life. The game lets players mine and smelt 12 base metals and discover over 100 unique alloys, including both real and magical ones.

Use your ingots to craft valuable tools and items with over 40 different recipes to master. Each alloy has its special mix and properties, so knowing them well will help you make the most out of every metal. Dive into hands-on fun with physics-based mechanics. You can turn cranks, pull levers, and pump bellows. Every tool and object can be clicked, dragged, stacked, or thrown, it’s all in your hands. Keep your forge organized or let the chaos reign as you toss your stuff wherever it lands.

Your smithery has everything you need to get started, and there’s plenty of space to expand. Sell your handcrafted items to buy new tools, workstations, and upgrades that will enhance your forge. As you move forward, you’ll discover you can create even more amazing items than before.
