A Case of Fraud Is Getting a Demo at the End of This Year

Solve a Case of Fraud

Hesperus Games has revealed that the studio is planning to release a demo for A Case of Fraud on Steam by the end of 2024. This deductive adventure game will be coming out on the platform sometime in 2025, and the release date will be announced later. Take a look at the official trailer below to get a glimpse of the mystery that awaits us.

A Case of Fraud is a non-linear detective adventure game. It draws inspiration from Return of the Obra Dinn, The Roottrees are Dead, and Case of the Golden Idol. Players will dive into a fraud investigation by digging through documents from a dusty, abandoned office. Piece together clues, examine the evidence and follow your instincts to crack the case your way.

The story follows Zoolingo, a flashy startup with big dreams of creating a translation app to help people understand their pets. Backed by loads of investor cash, everything seemed perfect—until someone suddenly abandoned the office without a trace. A few scattered documents that escaped the shredder are all that remain.

Your mission is to dig through the clues and uncover who the employees were. And ultimately figure out who had the motive and chance to pull off a scam. Can you piece together the puzzle and expose the truth behind the scheme?
