The solo indie game developer Vortical Studios is thrilled to announce that the Steam page for its upcoming title Vortica is now live. Vortica is a 2D twin-stick shooter with rogue-lite elements and turret placement mechanic. In the game, Humans have been kicked off Earth by tough aliens and are now hanging on in abandoned stations and outposts all over the solar system. As the last chance for humanity, it’s up to you to journey through space, face off against the aliens, and win back your home.
You will step inside the shoes of a super soldier and embark on various missions across different planets. Every mission has you diving into exciting challenges. You might find yourself saving civilians stranded and in need of rescue. Or you could be on the hunt for a particularly dangerous type of alien that poses a serious threat. Each task is a chance to showcase your skills and bravery while tackling unique and thrilling objectives.
There are more than 100 items you can use, each with its own special abilities and mechanics. With so many choices and ways to mix and match, you can customize your loadout in countless ways, leading to unique playstyles and strategies every time you play.
