Unfold a Dark Mystery in Stratagem Lost
Hybrid Fiction Games has officially announced its debut title, Stratagem Lost for PC. It is a single-player turn-based strategy RPG with visual novel elements featuring a punk fantasy aesthetic. Additionally, the studio is planning to release a demo on Steam on October 14th, so make sure to keep an eye out for this one.
Stratagem Lost is a single-player indie game that is currently under development for PC. In this story, a group of drafted soldiers stumbles upon a chilling mystery while battling terrorists and supernatural forces. The gameplay centers around building a unique team of characters, challenging players to make tough choices both on and off the battlefield.
The game features vivid, expressionist illustrations during cutscenes as well as combat. The battles unfold with a dynamic flair, like they’re scenes ripped right out of a comic book. Even the characters strike bold poses, each one showing off their unique personality and individuality.
Between battles, players get “Off-Time Segments,” where they can chat with their allies. Each character has their own unique story, revealing more about themselves and the game world. Talking to them can also unlock new skills! These segments are important because they link your combat tools with what you learn about your team.
The game boasts voice acting from industry professionals like Amanda Hufford (The Amazing Digital Circus, Genshin Impact), Joshua Waters (Fire Emblem Heroes, Unicorn Overlord), and Allanah Fitzgerald (Murder Drones). Dante Gofar, known for AD: Trance and UNBEATABLE [white label], composed the hard rock soundtrack, which drives the game’s intense groove.
