Dreadwoods Gatekeeper is an atmospheric narrative horror game that takes place in a small town. In this place, a guard already died and there are rumors of a monster in the forest. You will step inside the shoes of a new gatekeeper immerses you in this mysterious town.
Your job is to manage the gate, interact with townsfolk, make decisions, and patrol. As you progress you’ll confront death, greed, drugs, sex, and cowardice in this gritty place. Watch as the strange events unfold and the lines between superstition and reality get blurry. It is time to seek answers, face fears, and leave your mark on this town.
The gameplay includes:
– Managing the gatehouse: Talking with folk, opening the gate, inspecting trading wagons, and maintenance duties.
– Interacting with townsfolk and balancing decisions.
– Finding ways to get coins other than your salary to buy better clothes and food. They will increase your stats like Confidence, Charisma, and Stamina, which will affect some of the confrontational conversations.
– Patrolling around town and scouting from the watchtower. While outside, you’ll have to be on high alert and ready to run for a safe spot if you encounter danger.
