Ib Remake Is Finally Here

PLAYISM is proud to announce that a remake of the highly popular horror adventure game Ib is now available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 starting today. The original game marked its 12th anniversary on 27 February 2024. To celebrate this auspicious occasion, the publisher is holding a giveaway on the official PLAYISM X account.

Everyone can take part in the giveaway by simply reposting its campaign post and following the page. Two lucky winners will be receiving a specially-made tumbler. The campaign will end on 19 March at 6:59 am (PT).

Not only that, there will be a special poster wall display to celebrate the release of the PS5 and PS4 versions. Artwork from the Guertena Exhibition is currently showcased on a massive poster at Ikebukuro Station in Tokyo. It will be there until 17 March, so players from Japan can head over and take a look.

Ib is a remake of the popular 2D exploration adventure game from Japanese indie game developer, Kouri. It originally came out in February 2012 as a free game. It follows the story of the titular protagonist, a young girl who visits an art gallery with her parents. However, she suddenly realizes that she is alone after perusing the various works of art. And as she starts to search for someone or anyone, the museum begins to change.

The gameplay revolves around exploring your surroundings, collecting items, and solving puzzles. There are multiple endings according to your actions and choices in the mysterious gallery. This remake version of the game comes with additions and optimizations. Almost all graphics for maps, characters, and stills are improved. There are new and re-designed pieces of artwork as well.
